Daniel Rey along with his wife, Kristi; daughter, Ali; toddler son, Hunter, and their dog, move to Carlsbad, California. A man who just got released from prison kills someone. Later a detective who investigates discovers that the man was part of a gang of robbers. Years ago they committed a big robbery and later some men who somehow found out where they were came and demanded the money they got of they would kill them one at time and they did. Eventualy it came down to him and his brother and he told them where the money but still tried to kill them. But he somehow survived and was caught by the police and sent to prison. The one he killed was one of the men who killed his brother. So it's obvious he's out to avenge his brother's death. The detective later is told that an aging detective wants to join her which she finds weird. And at the same time a hit man is pursuing him but always misses him.
For Colored Girls
The movie is based on Ntozake Shange's play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf." Unlike the original play which featured only 7 women known by colors performing the collection of 20 poems, the movie has given each of the 20 characters names. Each of the poems deal with intense issues that particularly impact women in a thought-provoking commentary on what it means to be a female of color in the world.

It's Kind of a Funny Story
Craig is a high-school junior, in the gifted program, infatuated with his best friend's girl. When he realizes he's suicidal, he checks himself into the psychiatric ward of a hospital, thinking they'll do an observation, help him, and send him home in time for school the next day. Once in, however, he must stay for a week; the juvenile ward is being renovated, so he's in with adults as well as a few youths. Bobby, a man with a young daughter, shows him around; Craig notices Noelle, about his age. He tries to keep his friends from finding out where he is. Little things: he draws, goes to therapy, sings, helps Bobby rehearse an interview. Is this the stuff of insight?
